Long time no post. I have been busy busy, the economy is in the dumps but people are spending money on a website hoping the economy will pick up. We have a good man in office that will do just that. GOBAMA!

Anyway I have been using Site Grinder for the last few sites I have created. I really like this program since it allows the true designer to focus on just that DESIGNING. You designers that have had to become Code Monkeys will appreciate this. I still use Dreamweaver for some CSS but for the most part if the site is fairly small you will love this.

Anyway check out the new site, tell me what you think. I still have some tweaking to do but would welcome any comments.

As long as you know more than the person you are serving, then you have value. Get paid while you learn.

I get asked daily, "Leslie, teach me to design websites". I explain that I went to school, took out loans, worked 60 hour weeks at 2 jobs to put myself through school.....I cant, no I won't teach you to do what I have been through hell to learn.

But being I am a nice person, a little too nice in some cases I will help all you out who want to learn the trade of designing web pages.

I am currently working on several websites, but one site in particular I am having some fun with is www.donbyramart.com

Don owns a Framing shop here in Commerce, Ga and does all the neat things that Mpix and other online framing shops do, the cool thing is you can walk up to the counter and talk to the actual person who is going to frame or print your work. In this day and time that's a rarity. He has some very talented artist working for him that have years of experience and can turn your already great art into more than you can ever image and at a fraction of the cost. What more can you ask for?

I love to manipulate an image, its the most fun thing to do in Photoshop. Here I took a images of myself and an images for a favorite poster I took from Google images search. I added the image to the wall behind me, did an overlay of the image so that the crack in the wall is still seen, lowered the transparency and masked my hair to come out over the image. This gives the images dept and makes it look as if Its behind me.

OK, you have to look at this guy's photos. He is a natural at taking landscapes and florals amoung other things. He is the new owner of Don Byram Art Custom Frameshop at Commerce Crossing. He has 2 very talented and experience employees who know what they are doing and always make our work look stunning framed.

The Photo above is the Cotton Mill Series and is stunning. Look how the color of the tree pops outside the door inviting us to walk towards the exit and experience the beauty.
